New House Farm is a 64 acre working farm ideally situated for touring the Cotswolds, the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean, set in a commanding position on the hillside of a quiet valley with far reaching views towards the Malvern Hills, yet is within easy reach of both the A40 & M50. The Georgian farmhouse has 3 bedrooms, one with a four-poster bed, a large double/family room and one smaller double/single. All rooms are en-suite with bath and/or showers, and have tea/coffee making facilities, TV/VCR, hairdryers and clock radios. There is a comfortable guests’ lounge with TV and games. There are spectacular views from the front of the house and a charted walk through our woods takes you to a footpath to the top of May Hill, with its distinctive clump of pine trees planted for Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee where you can see six counties and for many miles.
Breakfast is Aga cooked using local and home-made produce wherever possible and served in our spacious dining room at a time convenient to our guests. Special diets are never a problem and if your appetite isn't up to a full English breakfast then we can offer something lighter if you prefer. Fish is also served, for further variety of choices, scrambled egg with smoked salmon being a speciality. Evening meals are available in our local pub/restaurant, The Penny Farthing Inn just up the road, which is under our ownership. Our policy there is to serve fresh, locally sourced produce which is traceable. We have daily specials as well as a separate bar and restaurant menu and are open 7 days a week for food.
